Frequently Asked Questions
Where do you operate?
CebuTRT serves patients across the Philippines, including in Manila, Cebu, Makati, Taguig, Davao, Quezon City, Parañaque, Pasig, Mandaue, Angeles City, and Dumaguete. Our high-quality care is fully virtual, with medications delivered directly to your door.
Who is a good candidate for TRT?
TRT is typically recommended for men who have clinically low testosterone levels and symptoms associated with low testosterone, such as decreased libido, fatigue, muscle weakness, and mood changes. Our providers will evaluate your medical history, symptoms, and blood tests to determine if TRT is appropriate.
Are there any risks or side effects of TRT?
Testosterone is a hormone naturally produced by your body, which typically adapts well to its presence. Although TRT is often well-tolerated, finding the optimal dose for your unique physiology may require some time. While most side effects of TRT are usually due to excessive dosing, even normal doses can lead to certain effects such as a potential worsening of sleep apnea and a decrease in sperm count.
How long does it take to see results from TRT?
The timeline for experiencing the benefits of TRT can vary. Some men report feeling more energetic and sexually active within a few days, while others may take a few weeks or months to notice significant changes.
Can TRT help with weight loss and muscle gain?
TRT can contribute to muscle growth and fat loss, especially when combined with diet and exercise. However, it’s not a standalone solution for weight loss or bodybuilding. Its primary goal is to restore normal hormone levels, which can indirectly aid in improving body composition.
Is TRT a lifelong treatment?
The duration of TRT depends on the individual’s response and the underlying cause of low testosterone. Some men may need lifelong treatment, while others might use it for a shorter period. Regular monitoring and consultation with a healthcare provider are essential to determine the appropriate length of treatment.

Why do you require PSA tests?
PSA testing before and two months after starting Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) is crucial for monitoring prostate health. Initial testing establishes a baseline PSA level, helping to ensure safe commencement of TRT, especially important for detecting underlying prostate conditions. Subsequent testing after 2 months assesses how TRT affects the prostate, crucial for early detection of potential issues such as prostate cancer or exacerbation of pre-existing conditions. While TRT does not cause prostate cancer, it may actually help identify existing prostate issues with proper testing.
Does TRT cause prostate problems?
TRT does not change prostate size. On the contrary, testosterone was shown as an important modulator of lower urinary tract function, and TRT probably exerts a positive effect on LUTS/BPH. In addition, multiple studies have shown that Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) does not significantly increase the risk of developing or exacerbating prostate cancer. The Prostate Saturation Model suggests that prostate cancer growth is only dependent on testosterone up to a certain point, known as the saturation point. Beyond this, additional testosterone does not increase cancer risk. Systematic reviews and large-scale studies, including over 70,000 patients, have reinforced this understanding, finding no significant differences in cancer recurrence or mortality between testosterone users and non-users. These findings suggest that TRT, particularly after treatment for localized prostate cancer, is generally safe and does not elevate the risk of prostate cancer progression.

I moved to Dumaguete in 2022, I wasn't sure how I would continue the testosterone treatment I started in the US the year before. I'm very glad I found CebuTRT. I provided my information to their doctor and they were able to send medication to my house. Very simple and fast.

A fellow expat here in Tacloban told me about his new life after starting TRT. I wasn't sure at first, I was a bit nervous injecting myself. But it's actually easy after the first few times. I felt like a new man within a few week. My only regret is waiting until I was 71 to start this treatment. My 35 year old wife is happier than ever!
